# Export private key

Export the treasury wallet's private key for use outside Zebec. Extremely sensitive.

This operation exports the **private key** behind the treasury wallet. It is useful when your organization needs to access the treasury funds from another wallet, outside the Zebec Enterprise Payroll platform.

**Proceed with extreme caution.** Anyone who obtains this key **permanently controls the wallet and all its funds**. If the key is compromised, the funds will be lost. Zebec cannot revoke or recover an exported key.

## How to export

1. Click **Export private key** on the treasury wallet.
2. Read the warning carefully.
3. Tick the acknowledgment: *"I understand that exporting this key transfers full custody of the wallet."*
4. Click **Confirm with passkey** to reveal the key.

## Handling the key safely

* **Never** paste the key into a website, chat, analytics form, or support ticket.
* Store it offline in a secure location (for example, a hardware wallet or an enterprise secrets manager).
* Treat everyone who has seen the key as a full custodian of the treasury. If exposure is suspected, move the funds to a new wallet immediately.
